Trust Thyself

Today I needed rest, so I rested. I had other ideas of what I was going to do with my day, and well, that simply didn't happen.

In the grand scheme of life these days, I am occupied with big ideas and exploring options I never before imagined. All the while recognizing where I place value, and what really matters to me in this lifetime.

It is easy to get caught up in the little things. It is also easy to get distracted by things that don't have a direct impact on me or my well being. My daily practice of creativity and writing is helping. Some days I still want to throw (almost) everything I own away, yet that feels impulsive and unnecessary. Other days I am ready to catapult to new horizons, exploring and playing with ideas as I test my thought process and share a sampling with the world.

Lately people have been suggesting that I may be stressed, or worried, or feeling pressured. I am not. Stress, worry and pressure are all self inflicted, often without much thought. Either it is exemplified in your everyday surroundings, say at work or home; or someone in your life is making you feel that way by the things they say or do. It is up to you to maintain healthy boundaries through direct and effective communication, as well as self care, however that may look for you.

To be me, to trust myself, I need to sit with things longer than some. If I need to sit when them longer than I am given, then I have my answer. I am simply trusting myself and my inner all knowing. Time truly does tell all.

What are you trusting yourself with today? Take a look deep inside, what do you see?
